Bewdley picked another valuable three points with a battling win against Stone Old Alleynians on Saturday.
Bewdley had a dream start when they scored after only four minutes when Charlie Foley headed home from a corner. The lead was shortlived however as Alleynians drew level in the eleventh minute. The town weren’t downhearted though and they continued to create chances. In the twentith minute they were awarded a spot kick and Dylan Hart duely dispatched the ball in to the net. There was consternation when Stone againt equalised. This from what appeared to be a massively offside position. Despite protests the goal stood and so the teams were level pegging again.
Bewdley once more dug deep and retook the lead just one minute later when the ball was turned home by Nathan Oyemade. The half finished 3-2 to the home side.
The second half was end to end stuff as both sides sought to take charge of the match. Both defences held firm though with the ‘keepers in outstanding form. Despite many change and many “Head-in-hands” moment there were no more goals and the match finished as it did at halftime with the score at 3-2.
